SAC) in Edinburgh. Both these posts will be based in the animal breeding and genomics team of SRUC, based in the Roslin Institute Building just outside Edinburgh.



Post 1: Animal genetics researcher. This post will work on a TSB and BBSRC funded project with partners from UK dairy industry to develop new field applicable phenotypic tools for fatty acid content of the milk and cow energy efficiency traits. Further this post will undertake the research into the genetics of these new traits in support of subsequent genetic evaluations of the traits.

Post 2: mathematical modeller (biology). This post will work on a recently commenced BBSRC funded project, in partnership with Moredun Research Institute, looking to develop predictions and biomarkers of health and welfare traits in dairy cows. http://www.sruc.ac.uk/jobs/80/researcher
